  13. i`m an amiga 3000 desktop owner and i`m running out of zorro slots. my
  14. machine has has four zorro3 slots and i filled them all.

  16. 1 x Retina Z3
  17. 1 x GVP I/O Extender
  18. 2 x BSC ISDN Master

  20. the system should be able to handle 2 x s0 basic rate interfaces (4 bearer
  21. channels) and four modems (2 x usr v34+; 2 x usr 14k4 dhst) connected to
  22. s0`s via two creatix isdn a/b terminal adaptors. isdn hardware works more
  23. or less, the beta device for the 2nd bsc isdn master has some minor bugs,
  24. but it`s working. serial interface hardware is more crucial... i`ve tried
  25. several serial boards without success.

  29. 4 serial and 2 parallel ports. device driver is buggy, it works only with a
  30. 32k xpr buffer and doesn`t cope with amitcp. even worse it slows the system
  31. down and mouse movement isn`t smooth while serial data transfer.

  35. 2 serial and 2 parallel ports. doesn`t work with hydra, cts line won`t be
  36. acknowledged. xpr and amitcp are ok. with gvp i/o patch no system slowdown.

  40. 7 serial and no parallel ports. maximum speed is 3 port locked to 19k2bps or
  41. one to 115kbps. nice active single slot card but possible baudrates are to
  42. low. i need at least 2 x 115kbps and 2 x 38k4bps.

  46. 2 serial and 1 (iii) or 2 (ii) parallel ports. works with xpr, and amitcp.
  47. eats a little more performance than the gvp i/o extender. not enough serial
  48. ports per slot.

  51. are any alternative boards out there? at least 4 serial ports per slot are
  52. needed, 16 is excellent. auto rts/cts handling and 64byte fifo (e. g. 16c750)
  53. and/or own expansion board cpu would be nice.
